Taste It Tuesdays

Do you like Cauliflower?
Because most people fall in to one of two categories when it comes to this vegetable. Either you love cauliflower. Or you hate cauliflower. Hate isn't a word you should use often. And love isn't a word that should probably be used in association with food all that much. But there is no doubting it. There are some foods we seriously hate and others that are beloved. It's just the way it is.
So we ask again. What's your feeling about cauliflower?

It's understandable if you've tried and it just doesn't work for you. If that's truly the case ... you swear on your pantry you have tried it and you don't like it, then you may go. We hope to see you tomorrow.
However, if you think you wouldn't like it, have a hunch it's not for you, and feel relatively certain there are way better options out there in the vegetable world but you haven't actually tried it then sit right there. Class isn't over.

Now. Here's an even more important question.
Do you like pizza?
Some people at Dynamic You feel this way...
Well. Recently, we learned of something that may be a game changer. What if we told you cauliflower is the answer to your pizza cravings
Brace yourself...

2 cups cauliflower (same as 1/2 of 1 head)
1 garlic clove (or minced garlic from the jar which is usually 1 tsp)
1 tablespoon of olive oil (or coconut oil)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup of parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 pinch Italian seasoning or herbes de provence
1 pinch of oregano (optional)
1 pinch salt
fresh ground pepper to taste
Marinara sauce (your fav)
All the veggie toppings your heart desires

Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees

Chop cauliflower to rice-sized pieces (a blender or food processor will be a big help here - just be careful not to turn the cauliflower into a puree), add the garlic and half of your oil and cook together until oil is gone
Cool, place in mixing bowl with remaining ingredients
Mix thoroughly (a Kitchen Aid mixer works well), and press into 12" pizza pan (be sure you spray an olive or coconut oil spray on the pan first)
Spread out the mixture evenly to create a pretty thin crust to ensure crispiness
Bake for 20 minutes at 400 degrees, or until golden
Remove, layer with your favorite sauce(s) and topping(s) and bake again until everything begins to brown (watch carefully- should take 10-15 minutes)
Be sure, before you add your favorite toppings and such, to take a large spatula and very gently loosen the bottom of the crust from the pan to prevent it from sticking

Now how do you feel about Cauliflower?
