Spring cleaning beyond the closets

Yesterday when we chatted about spring cleaning we linked you to an article from Shape Magazine highlighting a few of the common household chores and the approximate number of calories burned doing them. But spring cleaning doesn't just have to be about your closets, drawers and cabinets.

Be sure to check out the article...but here are few of our favorites:

1. Pair up with a friend

When you make a commitment to workout with someone else, you're not only promising yourself to make it to that class you're promising someone else. It's harder to let two people down.

Dynamic You is a great place to bring your friends, siblings, spouses, loved ones and co-workers. We have great referral incentives too!

2. Update your workout wardrobe.

Even if it's just a new top, a pair of socks with a better grip, or a different color you normally don't wear - pick up something new to wear to class. You might just be more inclined to workout. You'll get that much closer to shopping for a new outfit to fit your new body too.

3. Change your thinking

If you've always been focused on dropping pounds, but find yourself struggling, consider creating a new goal to hit. Perhaps getting into a fitness routine will change how you feel, the quality of your sleep will improve, or trying a new type of fitness class will keep you from watching the clock.  Pick a new goal to hit by the end of the month, and try not to focus on one you haven't managed to attain just yet.
